So some of my pals on Twitter have been posting lists of their favorite movies. I *love* watching movies but have never compiled a "Top Whatever" list because it's just stupid hard to do.

I like a variety of movies — from heavy-duty drama to comedy to movies that make me think, or cry (hey, I'm man enough to admit it…)

Asking me for a list of my favorite movies is like asking me my favorite song or book or meal. It depends on what mood I'm in, the phase of the moon, and other random factors.

None-the-less, I thought I'd play along.

Here in "how they popped into my brain" order are my twenty favorite flicks. Of note, these are simply movies I enjoy for whatever reason. I'm not trying to start a debate about what has the best acting, writing, direction, cinematography, whatever. I like them, it's as simple as that…
